AQUATIC WEED CONTROL 2017 The District uses the aquatic herbicide Magnicide - H in its canals to control aquatic weeds to insure that the canals flow efficiently. The treatment period for the use of this herbicide is May through September. Please be aware that treated water will kill fish. If you have fish bearing ponds please notify your DSO and they will notify you when the treatments are being made.
