Tom Orvis was appointed by the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors on October 4, 2022 and previously in 2017. Tom is a 5th generation Stanislaus County resident and lives in Oakdale. Tom is part of his family's cattle operation and farms almonds with his wife. Tom is the Governmental Affairs Director for the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau and serves on the Stanislaus County Ag Advisory Board, Stanislaus County Planning Commission and the Stanislaus County Water Advisory Committee. Tom was nominated and elected to serve as President on December 5, 2017.
