Ditchtenders, known at OID as DSOs (Distribution System Operators), play a vital role in ensuring reliable irrigation water delivery throughout our District. These dedicated and hardworking team members are on call day and night during the irrigation season, always ready to respond to the needs of our customers. Their vast knowledge of water operations and OID's infrastructure along with quick responses from OID's Construction & Maintenance (C&M), Engineering, Fleet, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Water Utilities Departments help keep our operations running effectively and efficiently to ensure our customers get the water they need. OID is proud to recognice the commitment of all its staff and with the irrigation season upon us, a special thanks to the DSOs.
